CONFERENCE: Volenti non fit iniuria (Krakow: Jagiellonian University, 25-27 MAY 2023) (DEADLINE 4 MAY 2023)

We received a message from Piotr Owsiak (Chairman of the Student Society for State and Legal History at Jagiellonian University):

 We kindly remind you that Doctors, D.Sc.'s and Professors can send their submissions for the XVII International Scientific Conference from the series ,,From the history of law" under the title ,,Evolution of civil law over the centuries - Volenti non fit inuria" on email: hpip.tbsp@uj.edu.pl for 7 days more (until the end of 4th May, 2023). Submission should include the title of the speech and preferred day of the speech (25th, 26th of May - in online form or 27th of May - in stationary form in Cracow).

Online days will be Thursday and Friday (25th and 26th of May, 2023). During these days conference will  last from 8:00 to 20:00 and will be held via Microsoft Teams application.
Conference is organized by the Jagiellonian University's Student Society for State and Legal History, Chair of Polish Legal and State History, Chair of World Legal and State History at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and the Jagiellonian University's Student Society for Civil Procedure.

In-person day will be held on Saturday (27th of May, 2023) in Michał Bobrzyński's Conference Room in oldest building belonging to Jagiellonian University - Collegium Maius (which is nowadays seat of Jagiellonian University Museum) on ulica Jagiellońska 15 (Jagiellońska Street) in heart of centre of Cracow - just 2 minutes walk from historical Main Square.  During that day conference will last from 8:00 to 18:00 and we provide catering for participants for the whole day (coffee breaks + lunch break). Students and PhD students have 20 minutes for the speech while Professors, D.Sc's and Doctors have 30 minutes for the speech and it doesn't matter if it is stationary or online. Speeches can be in English or in Polish.

So far we have confirmed participation of Professors from Germany (University of Tubingen), Hungary (University of Szeged), Slovakia (University of Bratislava, University of Kosice) Slovenia (University of Ljubljana) and Poland (Jagiellonian University, University of Łódź). Moreover also PhD students and students from Hungary (University of Szeged), Romania (Sapientia University in Cluj-Napoca), Serbia (University of Nis) and Polish Univerisities (Universities of Warsaw, Łódź, Poznań, Szczecin, Rzeszów, Lublin, Białystok, Toruń, Bydgoszcz, Katowice and Olsztyn) will participate in the conference.
