The conference will be held at MEF University in Maslak. The University is within walking distance of the ITU Ayazaga station on the M2 Metro Line (passing from Taksim).
On Monday, September 7, registration and welcome cocktail will take place at the University between 16.00-18.00. On Tuesday, September 8, following the opening conferences in the morning, conferences in parallel sessions will begin. The theme of
the opening conferences will be "Legal Education in Antiquity and Law ofAntiquity in Today's Legal Curricula". The conference will end on Friday September Il with the general assembly in the afternoon and the gala dinner in the evening. The opening conferences and general assembly will take place at another campus of MEF University. We will give more detailed information regarding shuttles and transportation in August.

Online Registration

Online registration for participants (including accompanying persons) and speakers, submission of the abstracts, and choice of excursions should be made through "" until June 20th. Speakers should fill in both the participant and speaker registration forms.
We would like to remind you that French is the official language of SIHDA but papers may also be presented in English, German, Italian, or Spanish. The speakers are kindly requested to mention the language they will speak while submitting the abstract.


Please remember that you need to complete both the payment and the online registration. The registration fees for SIHDA 2015 is as follows:
€ 300 if you pay by June 20.
€ 350 if you pay after June 20 until August 20.
€ 250 for participants under 30 and for accompanying persons.

Please do not forget to include the name of participant(s) and accompanying person(s) in the payment. We will match these names with the online registration forms. If you do not mention your name, we will not be able to know whether you have completed the payment.


The optional excursions will take place on Saturday, September 12th 2015. We arranged several options including both day and night tours. A list of these options and detailed descriptions are both attached and available on "'
under "Istanbul". You may join a single tour or combine day and night tours. For each excursion, there is a minimum and a maximum number of participants. Thus, we urge
you to choose two options and we will assign you to one of them on a first come first served basis.
We have also arranged several excursions for accompanying persons. These excursions are scheduled during the weekdays (September 8-10), while the conferences are taking
Choice of excursions is included in the online registration form, and should be completed until June 20th . If you have already filled in the online registration form before this choice was available, you may either e-mail us your choice, or fill in the online registration form again. You do not need to submit the speaker registration form again.
The participation fee for each excursion is € 50. If you wish to join two tours, the fee is
€ 100. The accompanying persons should also pay € 50 for each weekday excursion that they would like to join. Payment of this fee should be made together with the participation fee until August 20. Please do not forget to indicate the total number of excursions you are paying for along with your name in the payment so that we can figure out what the payment includes.
If you wish to extend your stay and enjoy Istanbul or other parts of Turkey, you may contact Prometheus Tours to help you arrange your stay or additional excursions. A list

MEF University is located in the Maslak district, very close to the ITU Ayazaga station of the M2 Metro Line (passing from Taksim). We recommend you to chose a hotel in
Maslak or close to other metro stations on the Taksim Metro Line (In increasing order of distance from the ITU Maslak station: Levent / Gayrettepe Zincirlikuyu/ $i'li Mecidiyeköy / Osmanbey / Taksim / $i'hane). This way you can avoid the traffic jam and arrive at the campus relatively quickly.
A couple of 4+ and 5 star hotels accepted to give SIHDA participants discount prices.

In August, you will receive a third circular including the detailed academic schedule.
