European Society for Comparative Legal History
Call for Members of the ESCLH Website Committee
Deadline: 1 September 2026
The European Society for Comparative Legal History (ESCLH) is seeking applications for the position of member of the to-be-established ESCLH Website Committee. The ESCLH was founded in 2009 and will soon start to work towards the creation of its fist institutional website.
The website of the ESCLH will be designed by a professional developer. Members of the ESCLH Website Committee will be involved in the brainstorming stage and in selecting/producing the content of the institutional website.
Expectations:
- Applicants must be members of the ESCLH (or must be committed to become members if appointed to the ESCLH Website Committee).
- Prior knowledge on web design is not a requirement.
- The ESCLH Website Committee will hold its first meeting in October 2026. In that meeting, the successful applicants will be invested as members of the committee and they will select a chairperson and determine their work plan and time commitment.
- All meetings of the ESCLH Website Committee will take place on an online platform.
- The position of member of the ESCLH Website Committee is not paid.
- The ESCLH particularly welcomes applications from people with backgrounds which are underrepresented in academia generally, and in the ESCLH particularly.
Applications, with a brief cover letter and short CV (no more than 400 words), should be sent to Janwillem (Pim) Oosterhuis, janwillem.oosterhuis@maastrichtuniversity.nl (Secretary General of the ESCLH) by 1 September 2026.
