The Coordination Board of the research platform „Hector. Heritage, Culture, Norms”, invites for the first seminar of the project entitled “Premodern Composite Polities and Their Importance for the Post-national State”.
„HECTOR: Heritage, Culture, Norms” is an innovative, interdisciplinary, international research platform project. It aims to provide a proper venue for academic discussion on a wide range of topics on legal heritage: from transforming fundamental/universal values into norms, through the consolidation of the latter ones into artifacts, to their current presence as well as their role in the future. This research was funded by the Priority Research Area Heritage under the program Excellence Initiative – Research University at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.
The invited guests are Prof. Julia Burkhardt of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, and Dr. Paul Srodecki of Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel.

The event will be held in a hybrid format: on-site in the conference room at the JU Student Zone (Strefa Studencka UJ) (św. Anny Street 6 in Cracow) and via the MS TEAMS platform - on the 19th May 2023.
