We received the following news from the Société Internationale Fernand De Visscher pour l’Histoire des Droits de l’Antiquité (SIHDA).
The 76th session of the Société Internationale Fernand De Visscher pour
l’Histoire des Droits de l’Antiquité (SIHDA) will be held at the University of
Helsinki! The dates are August 22-26, 2023 and the
venue will be the Faculty of Law in Helsinki.
The theme of the
conference is “Materiality and immateriality of ancient law."
The call for
papers will be published in late November. The organizing committee shall then
also announce all practical details regarding the conference, travel and
accomodation. To encourage early career researcher participation, there will be
a heavily subsidized fees for students and young researchers.
At the same
session, the executive committee of the SIHDA granted the 77th session, to be
held on September 23-28, 2024, to Osaka.
