This is an

a dedicated scholar and teacher who is prepared to make a lasting contribution
to the School. This is an open position, but we are particularly keen to
attract applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
UK constitutional law
UK administrative law
Comparative public law
Constitutional history
Constitutional theory
You will have a
good first degree and a PhD in a relevant subject area (or have equivalent
experience). You must have proven teaching ability, evidence of sustained
and continuing research performance and excellent communication skills.
The successful
applicant will carry out research, deliver research-led teaching at
undergraduate and postgraduate level, and supervise master’s dissertations and
PhD theses in one or more of these areas.
The School is
also keen to recruit candidates who will contribute to its
‘internationalisation’ and civic engagement agendas. Networks of contacts
outside of the UK would be an advantage.
You will join
over 70 academic and teaching staff and a large professional support team. The
total student body numbers around 1,200 undergraduates and more than 200
postgraduates. The School has a dedicated home in Bartolome House, a Grade II
listed building, close to the main campus and library with easy access to the
centre of Sheffield.
